Gog and Magog
Gog the embodiment of evil, Magog the place.
Genesis 10:2 gives the genealogy of the descendents.
In Torah (first five books) symbolism the north is viewed as the seat of the forces of evil. Magog is placed by scripture in today is southeast Russia, the Caucasian region, which lies between the black and Caspian seas. From the Scythians destroyed by the Goths, the Germanic tribes also Persia and the other sons of Japheth allied with the sons of Ham to come against all Israel. Symbolically the USA, England and nations aliened with us are the sons of Joseph, Ephraim. Jews have never won a war without Ephraim. The division so long ago divided the Davidic kingdom only to be re-established by the Messiah Yahushua (Jesus). We and Jews being blinded to our own allegiance will be enlightened in the end time to the knowledge of the truth.

Ezekiel 38-39 talks about the last three wars against Israel, not just the JEWS. These are going to begin and have begun, although yet understood.
Ezekiel 37 is explaining the “Rapture” how and why, also laying the bases to understand chapters 38 & 39 the rejoining of Ephraim to Judah.
Ezekiel 38: 19-23 For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel; 20So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.  21And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Yahuweh who saves Elohim (Lord GOD): every man’s sword shall be against his brother. 22And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. 23Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am YAHUWEH.
Revelation 6:12-17 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; 13And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.  14And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. 15And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; 16And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: 17For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
SAME EVENT AND TIME! This is the rapture, the first of three wars, the great revival of 144,000, the two witnesses begin to testify and satan and his unholy are cast out of heaven, Yahuweh’s sword is wet in heaven.
Ezekiel 39 is a new prophecy not foretold before. The second war which begins in Revelation 11 and Ezekiel 39 are the same event.
The first prophecy in 38 has Gog stopped at the land of Israel, 39 has him at Jerusalem for the destruction.
Ezekiel 39: 7 So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am YAHUWEH, the Holy One in Israel.
Daniel 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
Revelation 11:7-13 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. 8And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. 9And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves. 10And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth. 11And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them. 12And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them. 13And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.
This event takes place mid-tribulation.   
The last of the three conflicts is Armageddon the final conflict to the restoration of all Israel.
Zechariah 14:2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
Revelation 11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
From this point forward the wrath of God is poured out upon the earth for another three and a half years. We the saints return with Him to rule.
Revelation 16 is explaining His wrath. The end of this war is Revelation 16:16.
Revelation 20:8-9 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. 9And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
This battle is after the thousand year reign of Messiah. Halle lu YAH!
